Deema Al Alami is an educator, children’s book author, and reading advocate dedicated to nurturing a love of reading in every family. She co-founded the Annual Arab Child Summit and appeared on Shark Tank Season 1, securing investment for her literacy initiatives. In 2022, she launched the From Mother to Author Master Program to support aspiring Arab children’s book writers. She is the author of 48 Stories of Exile from Palestine, a finalist for the Palestinian Book Awards 2024, and co-author of the best-selling Hatha Jismi La Talmasni, one of the first Arabic body safety books for ages 0–6. Deema also co-founded the #AlalamiBookClub to promote adult reading and uses Instagram to share top book picks, literacy tips, and workshops. With over 16 years of experience, an MA from KCL, and a BA from AUB, she has led education reform across the MENA region.
