Rama Kanj is an Educational Psychologist and Doctorate candidate at the University of Reading. She is the Co‑Founder of The Valens Clinic, a leading multidisciplinary mental health clinic based in Dubai, where she works alongside a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists to provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents. Her clinical work focuses on developmental and psychoeducational assessments, supporting families and schools in understanding and addressing learning, emotional, and behavioral needs. Rama’s passion lies in childhood development, with a particular research focus on language development and assessment in Arabic‑speaking multilingual children. She has authored over 10 peer‑reviewed publications and is an active speaker, having contributed to numerous panels, including the prestigious Majlis of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. Rama is also a mother of two daughters.
