Maysa Jalbout is a recognized leader in international development and philanthropy, with three decades of experience building effective organizations, initiatives, and partnerships across Canada, the Middle East, and developing nations. A passionate advocate for education and employment, she is deeply committed to supporting the most vulnerable, especially refugees.
Maysa was the founding CEO of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education and the Queen Rania Foundation, and previously served with Global Affairs Canada and Employment and Social Development Canada. As a Non-resident Fellow at the Brookings Institution, she has published influential research and strategies on education.
A trusted advisor to governments, international leaders, and philanthropists, she has developed national strategies, authored reports on refugee education, and designed impactful initiatives in humanitarian settings.
Maysa serves on the boards of Generation: You Employed and Alfanar, is a Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and co-hosts the Impact Room podcast.
