Marjan Faraidooni is a UAE national with more than twenty years of public-sector experience spanning
strategy, people development, and community engagement. Her work sits at the intersection of culture,
sustainability, and civic life, where she focuses on building programs that foster learning and meaningful
connection.
During her eight years with Expo 2020 Dubai, Marjan helped shape the event’s long-term vision and led
the legacy strategy that guided its transition into Expo City Dubai, a future-oriented urban district. As
Chief Experience Officer, she oversaw thematic exhibitions, youth initiatives, and visitor journeys,
including the development of Terra, The Sustainability Pavilion, which unites architecture, nature, and
storytelling to inspire action on planetary challenges.
In her current role as Chief of the Education & Culture Division at Expo City Dubai, Marjan stewards Terra
as a living hub for urban resilience, biodiversity, and environmental learning. Through education and
impact programs, she and her team explore how cities can address environmental challenges and create
sustainable opportunities for the next generation.
Marjan holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human
Physiology.
