Dr Azi is a UK-trained Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience in the UK and UAE. He specializes in assessments and interventions for children with emotional, neurodevelopmental, and educational needs. Alongside his clinical work, he is actively engaged in teaching and training clinical psychologists in the UK and the Middle East. He is also involved in clinical research and has published in several peer reviewed scientific journals, including studies on religious coping among Muslim adult trauma survivors, the impact of childhood maltreatment on interpersonal functioning, and the efficacy of a narrative based treatment for traumatised children and adolescents in Iraq. He has also previously served as Head of Psychology at Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital. Fluent in Arabic, English, and Swedish, Dr Azi provides culturally sensitive care, combining psychodynamic and existential insights with evidence based approaches such as ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and MBT.
