Qadreya Al Awadhi is the Emirati Founder and CEO of Bumblebee. The idea of her business began when she babysat her friend’s son who was being weaned and realized she couldn’t find any healthy or nutritious meals for him at the supermarket. The only option was the international brands which was produced before the baby was even born. Thus, she started Bumblebee which offers various new flavours and textures for every age. All of Bumblebee’s meals are cooked from scratch, including the sauces.
Born and raised in Dubai, Qadreya completed her masters from University of Wollongong. She currently also manages a full-time job working with one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. Qadreya has also completed culinary school and is completing her requirements for becoming a pediatric nutrition consultant. Bumblebee has been selected as part of the United Nations women program, has been featured on Shark Tank and has been interviewed by over 50 publications including CNN Business.
