Nathalie Barsoumian is a Consultant in Education. After more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education and management, she has decided to pursue her dream of unleashing the wonderous mind of the child by establishing an Early Childhood Education Center in Dubai. After moving to the UAE in 2004, she started her teaching career. She later continued her master’s degree in Educational Leadership, specializing in Curriculum Design and Implementation. She is currently working on her Doctoral degree specializing in Play-Based Learning. The turning point in her career came after participating in a special program at Reggio Emilia, Italy, where she discovered a different approach to learning. Back in Dubai, she was appointed head of the preschool in a French institution. She quickly built credibility in her field and was hired as a consultant for many other preschools and nurseries. With her team, she reinvented a safe school space where students have rights over their learning through meaningful and authentic activities based on inquiry, multi-sensorial approaches, and, most importantly, play. She aimed to foster a love for learning and languages through these approaches. The success of this experience made her dream of establishing an Early Childhood Center a reality. As an Educational Consultant, she strongly believes in inclusion and equity and that every child is unique and should have the right to the finest early education.
